These are the most common questions that are asked, but please reach out if you have other topics you would like to discuss.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
Depending on the season, I could be booking 3 weeks in advanced or only 1 week in advance. I recommend having your pet on a schedule, so they are pre-booked.
What is your cancellation fee?
What is your cancellation fee?
There is charge a $50 cancellation fee for missed appointments or those cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Since I groom one-on-one, I reserve that time exclusively for your pet(s). To avoid paying the fee, call, email or text me at least 24 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.
My dog has a lot of tangles. Can you brush the tangle out instead of shaving?
My dog has a lot of tangles. Can you brush the tangle out instead of shaving?
Every pet will likely have a tangle here or there. It is part of the grooming process for me to brush out your pet's coat. During that portion of the groom, I do dematt the tangles. Should there be a lot of tangles, I recommend meeting with me to do a coat assessment, so I can quote you a time and cost of dematting your pet's coat. Dematting that increases the time it take to complete the groom is an extra charge.
Is teeth brushing included in the groom?
Is teeth brushing included in the groom?
Just like with humans, brushing a pet’s teeth does little unless it is done on a daily basis. If requested, I will happily brush your dog’s teeth during the groom at no extra charge. I recommend you bring your pet’s own toothbrush—otherwise, we use a shared toothbrush that is disinfected after each use. A better alternative is making an appointment at one of our APL teethcleaning clinics and one of No Brushing neccessary teethcleaning products!
My dog has been turned away by other salons. Are you willing to take my dog?
My dog has been turned away by other salons. Are you willing to take my dog?
I look at every dog with a completely blank slate. If your dog has sensitivities to grooming, we can discuss your pets individual needs. My recommendation is their first grooming appointment with me is on a weekday morning when it is the quietest. Your pet and I get to know each other, and I will figure out what it is they are sensitive about. Sometimes, a different environment or a different person is all your furry family member needs.
What is your vaccination policy?
What is your vaccination policy?
I recommend that all pet owners consult with a veterinarian for the best advice possible on their pets vaccination needs. Due to health concerns, some pets are not able to receive certain vaccinations, but these pets still need grooming. My one-on-one grooming style minimizes the risk of transmitting any illnesses from one pet to another because pets are not allowed to interact with each other unless both owners have given permission for their pups to play!

Do you groom cats?
Do you groom cats?
Yes I do! I know cat owners have a difficult time finding a groomer who is able to take cats. All cat grooming is done on Thursdays. I don't take dog grooming appointment during cat grooms, so the environment is calmer.
